Nickebostrand 2
A new, large residential area with mixed buildings is planned near both Vårdkasen and the sea. The area is located along Solumsvägen, next to both Södra sundet and the entire Vårdkasen area. It is close to both skiing and the sea.
The project
The assignment is to look at the possibilities for a mixed residential development in the area with single-family plots, terraced houses/chain houses and apartment buildings. A place for a preschool and/or elderly care will also be investigated, as well as the possibility of simpler services such as a grocery store, hairdresser and café.
The work is at an early stage and it is not yet possible to say what type of development, how many homes, what type of service or what the area will look like.

Vårdkasbacken
The area is just over 30 hectares and is currently a relatively inaccessible forest area.
Just above the area, on the other side of Solumsvägen, is Vårdkasbacken and the rest of the Vårdkasen recreational area. Below the area is Södra sundet and the sea.
The distance to the center is about 3 kilometers.

The architectural firm Warm in the winter and the landscape architects Nivå are working on three different ideas for how the area could be developed.
September 2022
The community committee grants planning permission and work begins on drawing up a new detailed plan.
