Almost out by the Smitingen sea bath on eastern Härnön is Örsjöberget, which offers a 360-degree view of the whole of Härnön and the High Coast. The day hike up the mountain is quite steep, but pleasant and suitable for the whole family.
Klubbsjöberget mountain
Just north of Smitingen is Klubberget with fantastic views of the sea and Härnön. Ravens nest on Klubberget, and the rocky areas in the crevices of the mountain are home to pine skeletons, creeping pines and other plants.

Hemsön
Storråberget
Storråberget is located on beautiful Hemsön, with the Hemsö fortress embedded at a depth of 40 meters. Outside the rock room there are beautiful views of the High Coast and the outlet of the Ångerman River into the Bothnian Sea. On the 140 meter high Storråberget there are a number of trails you can walk around, or stop for a coffee break.
You can get here by free car ferry from the mainland, which runs around the clock.
Hultomsberget mountain
From Hultomsberget you have a wonderful view all the way from Högbonden to Högakustenbron. There is an overnight cabin with a stove, a bunk bed and a solar panel. Outside there is a nice fireplace with wood on site. The trail up is beautiful and takes you through magical forest areas.
The trail starts a little north of Hultom and there are parking facilities. It then continues up a forest road and then winds into the forest. The road can be steep and rocky at times so you may need quite good balance to get up here!
Mainland
Bastusjöklippen
On the border of Sollefteå municipality lies Bastusjöklippen, which is a southern mountain, where the top is 380 meters above sea level. The top of the mountain consists of rocky forest, the rest consists mostly of spruce forest with elements of deciduous trees, a few wetlands and a small bog. The spruce forest is over 100 years old and there are many threatened coniferous forest species, including black tick, patch tick and rose tick. If you go high up on the mountain, you get a wonderful view of Hornsjömoarna.
Gådeåbergsbrännan
Southwest of Härnösand lies Gådeåberget. In 2006, a fire broke out just a few hundred meters from the nearest residential area. The fire lasted three weeks, and afterwards the eight-hectare area was protected by the municipality of Härnösand as the first municipal nature reserve. After the fire, the land looked dead, but there was plenty of life ready to recolonize the area. Among other things, a variety of birds have been attracted to the area, mainly woodpeckers, but also wrens. The area has a path that runs around the area with lovely views and information signs along the way.
Fälleberget mountain
Five kilometers south of Härnösand is Fälleberget's recreational area with mountain nature consisting of rocky areas alternating with marshes and small lakes. At Fälleberget you can hike throughout the year on various hiking trails that take visitors to beautiful viewpoints.
Västanåfallet
The water flows down the steep mountainside in Västanåfallet, which is one of Sweden's highest waterfalls with a drop of over 90 meters. Close by is the Mjällådalen nature reserve with hiking trails along the winding river, with plenty of resting places.
Älandsbro
Uvberget
Uvberget is a viewing mountain with a small cabin, barbecue area and benches overlooking Älandsfjärden. To the east of the top of the mountain there are rock caves and on the sides of the mountain you can look for ravens.
