During the summer, the Härnösand Guide Association regularly organizes city walks that take visitors through Härnösand's 400-year history. Through the leafy neighborhoods of Östanbäcken with charming wooden houses to the stately stone houses on Nybrogatan.

The Östanbäcken neighborhood is one of Härnösand's oldest districts, mostly built up with wooden houses from the 18th and 19th centuries. Östanbäcken was close to being demolished, but the demolition was stopped and today the district is a listed building.
