The project

The project will create the conditions for more businesses, services and activities in the area by attracting more visitors, especially children, families with children and the elderly. The project will also contribute to collaboration and networking between businesses and associations active in the area, as well as businesses and associations active in the municipality and region.

Some of the things that will be done are:

• Create a new three-kilometer MTB trail adapted for beginners, children and visitor groups. Bike trails with higher difficulty levels already exist.
• Create a skill park/technical course as a sub-loop to the new cycle path.
• Create conditions so that the cycle paths can also be used in winter for hiking, winter cycling or skiing.
• Highlight the history of Vårdkasen as a health resort by restoring the old road up the mountain and developing a cultural trail.
• Create a new meeting place at the top that can be used by visitors and for various events by companies and associations.
• Build new shelters, barbecue areas and outhouses.
• Create four new entrances to the area and clear signage and information in the area.
