Gymnastics hall
Härnösand Gymnastics Club is building a modern gymnastics and activity hall. In addition to the gymnastics club, the idea is that several other associations can use the hall, as well as people with disabilities, young children and older people.
The project
The gymnastics club buys a property and converts it into a gymnastics and activity hall. The 6 meter high hall will include a tumbling floor, a trampoline and a landing pit.
Other associations can also use the hall to practice jumps, flips and other acrobatic exercises. This is suitable for people practicing freestyle skiing, kick biking, parkour, vaulting and swimming jumps, for example. But other activities can also benefit from the new hall.
The Gymnastics Club's goal is to get more people moving and to reach a wider target group by offering activities for the youngest children, the elderly and people with disabilities.
A modern hall will also enable the Gymnastics Association to hold training courses in Härnösand.
The project is being carried out with the help of grants from the Swedish Inheritance Fund, SEK 6.2 million, RF-SISU, SEK 5 million, Härnösand Municipality, SEK 1 million and HEMAB, SEK 20,000.

The area
The new gymnasium will be located in the Parketten building on Ådalsvägen, which was previously used by ABF. Parkaden/Pingstkyrkan is right next door. The area has many homes and is also close to the city center.
Ängets Sportcenter, a new sports hall to be opened in the fall of 2025, is also nearby.
Spring 2025
The gymnastics club receives grants from the General Inheritance Fund, RF-SISU, Härnösand Municipality and HEMAB and can thus start the project.
