Establishments in Torsboda can provide thousands of jobs
Torsboda has long been identified as one of Europe's best sites for electricity-intensive industry. Now the establishment of a battery parts factory is moving ever closer to the area. But there is also great interest from other players to establish themselves in Torsboda.

The 150-hectare industrial area north and south of the E4 in Torsboda has the capacity to accommodate several large and small establishments. There is good access to green electricity produced in the local area, good infrastructure and the population of the three nearest municipalities alone is around 150,000.
The conditions attract many. The furthest along in the establishment process is currently a battery parts manufacturer, which is planning a plant in the southern part of the area. At the same time, Torsboda Industrial Park is working hard to land further establishments on the northern side.

The large establishments are also likely to lead to several smaller ones, including in Härnösand.

In Härnösand municipality, extensive joint work is underway to prepare the community for a rapid and strong expansion. One of the most important things is to have ready plans for the housing that will be needed.
But it is also necessary to prepare all other services, such as schools and kindergartens, infrastructure and communications, and even private services that people need.
- The most important thing is that we do this job together, not only within the municipality but also together with companies, other authorities, associations and individual Härnösand residents. When the advertisements for jobs in Torsboda start coming out, we will be ready to receive at least 2,500 new residents," says Andreas Sjölander (S), Chairman of the Municipal Executive Board in Härnösand.
