Emelie and Richard are doing well in Härnösand
At the end of August, Richard Östlund, Emelie Lundberg and their dog Jack moved into a newly built house on Lövudden. Although there is some construction work inside the house itself, they have already found peace and quiet.
- Here we have the water and nature right outside the door!
The move was from Gothenburg and the aim was to live closer to nature and in a house instead of an apartment. The fact that Härnösand was chosen is not entirely coincidental. Richard lived here for a period about 15 years ago when he played hockey in AIK Härnösand.
- "It was a wonderful time that I have always enjoyed. And since then it has always been in the back of my mind that I have wanted to go north and preferably to Härnösand. Several of my friends from that time still live here.
He is originally from Stockholm, but has longed for the smaller format. Emelie is from Trollhättan and has lived in several other smaller towns in western Sweden. Two years ago they vacationed in Norrland.
- "I realized then that it wouldn't be impossible to bring Emelie here with me," says Richard.
- "Yes, I understood what he meant by calm. It's cozy with the small town, says Emelie.
"I can't really put my finger on what it is. But I just feel good here!"

Emelie does CrossFit full-time and has found a strong community at Boxen Bigsmile, the gym where she spends a lot of time.
- "Everyone has been so welcoming. It has felt like home from day 1.
From the new house, they have only a hundred meters down to the water and the green area at Lövudden. Perfect for the dog Jack, who by the time you read this has become a puppy friend to the family.
- I'm also looking forward to experiencing real winter and doing some skiing," says Emelie.
Richard had no trouble finding a job. He already had one at the energy drink company Latitude 65 that he could take with him. He recognizes much of what he experienced the last time he lived in Härnösand, but also thinks it's fun that so much new is happening in the city now.
- "I can't really put my finger on what it is. But I just feel good here!
CrossFit is a form of training and competition that aims to be as broad as possible. Competitions can be very diverse and involve strength, cardio and gymnastic exercises.
